So i have searched for this, but couldnt find a solution.

I have made a fall animation, its the same lenght as the run animation but even thou, ingame it does jump from midanimation to the beginning again.

i dont understand this, the run animation didnt do that and is 28 long in blender, i made the fall anim the exact same lenght in blender but it jumps in the animation?

Is there anything i have to be aware of?



Id like to know what part i have to insert to the jump code in the solution, that will add the fall animation after jumping up.

like hit space, character jumps and when he gets down again, play the fall anim.

im not really sure what youre saying with the first part, but as for the second, what i did to do this is play jump when the player jumps, then switch to fall if their y velocity is negative. we ended up scrapping the animations so im not sure how buggy it is, but it worked if you take it at face value lol

this is my old code, to give you the idea:

if y speed is greater than 0, play jump, otherwise play fall, then some stuff with the double jump and backflip anims (remove the Attack5F, that's something we added lol)

Aww YISSS.
It works now. But the anim itself glitches x,x
With lenghts, i ment the anim is the same frame lenght in blender like the run animation.

Lets say the run anim has 18 frames, i made the fall anim have 18 frames too.
But for better understanding, here is how it looks like:

In Blender, the animations loops perfect.

in theory, the code shouldn't be affecting that, it looks like an issue with the animation itself (which i know nothing about, so i cant help on that front, sorry!)

Oh.. yes it is xD
That can cause trouble? Cause i have that same glitch on a critter that run animation in blender works just fine but ingame it has the same issue like my fall-anim has here.
How to fix that? Just make a tiny slight single bone be different on the last frame maybe?

well pretty sure if you do a loop animation and the first and last frame arent the same it's gonna look a bit weird haha

but yeah i had the same bug with my run animation but it was longer than the original run animation so i'm not sure. i had the bug again with a new facenormal animation and to fix it i just shortened it (dragged the frames behind a bit in the action editor) and it fixed it

so try that i guess?
